Buy Oxytocin Nasal Spray in Canada
You can buy oxytocin nasal spray in Canada from Vistara Labs, ready-mixed in three sizes: 2 mg in 5 mL (about 29 sprays) and 4 mg in 10 mL (about 57 sprays), both about 70 mcg per spray, and a stronger 10 mg in 10 mL (about 57 sprays at about 175 mcg each), all shipped from within Canada. Oxytocin has one of the largest human research records of any peptide, and almost all of it delivers oxytocin as a nasal spray: a single intranasal dose raised trust in a 2005 Nature study, reached the spinal fluid in a 2013 study, and cut the calories eaten at a test meal in 2015. This guide covers all three spray sizes, the spray stack that includes oxytocin, what the intranasal studies found and how to order oxytocin nasal spray Canada-wide.
At a glance: Vistara Labs stocks oxytocin as a ready-mixed nasal spray (2 mg, 4 mg or 10 mg) and as a 2 mg vial, independently tested at 99.2% purity, with a certificate of analysis on our Lab Reports page, shipped from within Canada by Canada Post Xpresspost, with same-business-day dispatch on orders placed before 3 pm Pacific, Monday to Friday. We deliver to every province, including Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta.
Findings
- Trust, 2005: a single intranasal dose caused a substantial increase in trust between people, not explained by a general readiness to take risks (Nature).
- Reaching the brain, 2013: a nasal dose raised oxytocin in both blood and cerebrospinal fluid; blood peaked at 15 minutes and spinal fluid within 75 minutes (Scientific Reports).
- Appetite, 2015: one nasal dose cut intake at a test meal by 122 kcal, shifted fuel use toward fat and improved insulin sensitivity in 25 men (Obesity).
- Eight weeks, 2024: in 61 adults with obesity, intake at a test meal was 152 kcal lower on oxytocin.
- Ready to use: the 2 mg and 4 mg sprays give about 70 mcg per spray and the 10 mg spray about 175 mcg, all pre-mixed in a sealed metered atomiser, with nothing to reconstitute.
Which oxytocin sprays are there?
| Spray | In the bottle | Sprays |
|---|---|---|
| Oxytocin Nasal Spray, 2 mg | 2 mg in 5 mL | About 29, about 70 mcg each |
| Oxytocin Nasal Spray, 4 mg | 4 mg in 10 mL | About 57, about 70 mcg each |
| Oxytocin Nasal Spray, 10 mg | 10 mg in 10 mL | About 57, about 175 mcg each |
Every bottle arrives pre-mixed in saline in a sealed metered atomiser, so there is nothing to reconstitute and no bacteriostatic water to buy. The figures describe what each bottle contains and how its pump meters it; our table of sprays per bottle covers every spray we stock.
Which spray stack includes oxytocin?
The Libido Spray Stack pairs a 2 mg or 10 mg oxytocin spray with the 10 mg PT-141 Nasal Spray, pairing the melanocortin compound with the social-bonding peptide for libido research. How the two compare is set out in PT-141 vs oxytocin.
What is oxytocin?
Oxytocin is a nine-amino-acid peptide, Cys-Tyr-Ile-Gln-Asn-Cys-Pro-Leu-Gly-NH2, closed into a ring by a disulfide bridge between its two cysteines. It is made mainly in the hypothalamus, released into the blood from the posterior pituitary and acts on a single receptor. Its classic roles are uterine contraction in labour and milk let-down, and it was the first peptide hormone made in a laboratory, work recognised with the 1955 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
Why is oxytocin studied as a nasal spray?
In the bloodstream oxytocin lasts only minutes, and the nose offers a route toward the brain. The route is not new: a commercial oxytocin nasal spray was in use for breastfeeding difficulties by 1960, and a 1981 trial in mothers of premature babies reported milk volumes 3.5 times higher with oxytocin than with placebo. The 2013 spinal-fluid study showed that a nasal dose raises oxytocin in cerebrospinal fluid, and a 2021 review concluded that the evidence points to functionally relevant nose-to-brain effects. A ready-mixed spray lines research up with that literature, which almost entirely uses the intranasal route.
What has oxytocin nasal spray research shown?
- Trust, 2005. In a study published in Nature, intranasal oxytocin caused a substantial increase in trust between people, and the effect was not explained by a general readiness to take risks.
- Emotion recognition, 2010. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study of 16 males aged 12 to 19 with autism spectrum disorders, oxytocin nasal spray improved performance on the Reading the Mind in the Eyes test.
- Reaching the spinal fluid, 2013. In 15 adults, nasal oxytocin raised levels in both blood and cerebrospinal fluid, with blood peaking at 15 minutes and spinal fluid rising within 75 minutes.
- Appetite and metabolism, 2015. In a placebo-controlled crossover study of 25 men, a single intranasal dose reduced the calories eaten at a test meal by 122 kcal, with a preferential effect on fat intake, shifted fuel use toward fat and improved insulin sensitivity.
- Six weeks, 2020. In a double-blind trial of 106 adults with autism, nasal oxytocin reduced repetitive behaviour and increased gaze on socially relevant regions compared with placebo.
- Eight weeks, 2024. In 61 adults with obesity, intake at a test meal was 152 kcal lower on oxytocin.
Our article Oxytocin nasal spray: what the human research shows reads these studies more closely, and intranasal vs subcutaneous research routes explains why the nose is studied as a route to the brain.
Spray or vial?
The spray fixes the concentration and the amount per spray and is ready to use. The 2 mg vial is lyophilised and reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, which lets the researcher choose the concentration; the oxytocin reconstitution guide covers the arithmetic. Both formats and their history are compared in buying oxytocin in Canada.
How should oxytocin nasal spray be stored?
Oxytocin is heat-sensitive. How fast it breaks down depends on temperature and pH, and it is most stable in mildly acidic solution. Clinical oxytocin is transported and stored at 2 to 8 °C, and the same range suits research solutions: keep the spray in the refrigerator, upright and capped. Our guide to storing a peptide nasal spray covers priming and handling.

Frequently asked questions
How much oxytocin is in each spray?
About 70 mcg in the 2 mg and 4 mg bottles: the 2 mg bottle holds 2 mg in 5 mL, about 29 sprays, and the 4 mg bottle holds 4 mg in 10 mL, about 57 sprays. The 10 mg bottle holds 10 mg in 10 mL, about 57 sprays at about 175 mcg each.
Does oxytocin nasal spray need mixing?
No. It arrives pre-mixed in saline in a sealed metered atomiser, ready to use.
What has oxytocin nasal spray research shown?
Single intranasal doses have raised trust (2005), improved emotion recognition (2010), reached the spinal fluid (2013) and cut intake at a test meal by 122 kcal (2015); longer trials reported less repetitive behaviour over six weeks (2020) and 152 kcal lower intake over eight weeks (2024).
Is there a spray stack with oxytocin?
Yes. The Libido Spray Stack pairs a 2 mg or 10 mg oxytocin spray with the 10 mg PT-141 Nasal Spray, and the Libido Trifecta Spray Stack adds a 10 mg Kisspeptin Nasal Spray.
